In my next life, I think I’d like to be a cheesemonger. I absolutely love artisan and farmstead cheeses AND now recently have become obsessed with cheese shops. When I walked into Beecher’s Cheese Shop in NYC, I knew I was in the “big cheese” of them all. In addition to the innumerable varieties of cheeses in the store, the interior design and decor was amazing. Wood and glass refrigerator doors, stainless steel cheese cases, and dark iron moldings. I love this look!
I think these materials translate well into a home kitchen too.
